How to Enable or Disable Adding Funds to PaperCut Account

This article explains how to enable or disable adding funds to patron accounts on the TBSKiosk/cPad device. There are a few options, so read through the article to confirm the scenario you are looking for.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

  • PaperCut does NOT have a global setting to disable funds being added to patron accounts. This is always enabled within PaperCut.

  • The settings below are PER TBSKiosk/cPad, meaning if you'd like to make any changes, you will need to do this PER DEVICE.

  • When using the 'Always Idle' Mode with our TBS Kiosk, you MUST disable the ability to add funds. Due to the flow and process of this mode, you cannot add funds.

Disabling adding funds to patron accounts from TBSKiosk/cPad

Be Default, cPad devices are configured to allow funds to be added to accounts. If you want to disable this, log into your papercut Admin Portal and go to: DEVICES > (yourcPadDevice) > Advanced Config > Page 2

Scroll down until you find "ext-device.cartadis_cpad.recharge-account-enabled". By Default, this is set to 'Y'. If you want to disable this, set to 'N'.

Also, confirm that "ext-device.cartadis_cpad.recharge-account-from-card-enabled". By Default, this is set to 'N'

Scroll down until you find "ext-device.cartadis_cpad.recharge-account-enabled". By Default, this is set to 'Y'.

*NOTE: Since adding funds via credit relies on the 'Maximum Card Value' in Nayax, this setting should be disabled. It is not recommended to add funds to accounts using Credit Cards. This setting is set to 'N' by default. Confirm that "ext-device.cartadis_cpad.recharge-account-from-card-enabled". By Default, this is set to 'N

Additional Settings:

If you'd like to allow funds to be added to patron accounts, but not Guest Pass users and/or webprint mobile users, then you need to block this. Under the same Devices > (yourcPadDevice) > Advanced Config > Page 1 in PaperCut, you will find "ext-device.cartadis_cpad.adding-money-forbidden-for-users-matching-exp". This allows you to add a regex "exclude" feature to exclude accounts.

To configure a regex match, see: Regex codes for cPad Adv. Config - Block Add Value
