How to add inventory to a TBS 9900/Kiosk using 'Always Idle' Payment Mode (3 methods)

If you're using the ‘Always Idle’ Payment Mode on our TBS Kiosk or TBS9900 coin towers, adding inventory is simple once you know the process. This mode is designed for secure, controlled environments and is typically used with PRINT ONLY Kiosk/Cpad setups or ScanEZ Stations for payment. Below, you'll find easy-to-follow steps for adding coins and bills to your system.

Before You Begin

First, check that your coin tower is in the correct mode. Look at the internal blue screen. If it says ‘Hello!’ when idle, you’re set up for ‘Always Idle’ Mode. If it displays anything other than the expected result, your device may not be configured correctly.

  • In ‘Always Idle’ Mode, coins inserted before starting a payment will be returned. The device only accepts payment when prompted.
