How to install TBS/MyPC User Deploy Client using PDQ Deploy
IMPORTANT! TBS does not sell or support PDQ Deploy. The information provided below could vary depending on the software version and environment. This information should be used as a reference based on other TBS Customers' experiences.
Notes from a TBS Customer who has successfully deployed using PDQ Deploy:
These features only work with the paid version of PDQ Deploy. To get this to work, you have to copy the files over (from the User Deploy Client Install Folder), run the executable from the client machine via a command prompt step rather than an install step, and set the package to run as “Local System” in the options tab of PDQ.
Attached (below) is an exported copy of the package successfully used for TBS/MyPC deployments, with the things specific to our environment replaced with placeholders and a few notes in the description. You can import the XML file into PDQ Deploy, which will import it as a package with the steps and settings already there. The “MyPC_Client” folder in the PDQ Deploy repository should be all of the files copied from the User Deploy Install folder created for you.
You should be able to just copy the files into a folder with that name in their repository, plug in the repository location in the first step, and change the local folder you want to target on the local machines in steps 1, 2, and 4 if you don't want to use “c:\temp”. If using “c:\temp,” then you can leave that as is.
