How to configure the option in Triple A 4.9.0.8 to cache user groups for SIP Customers
The Cause
When a customer site is configured to validate card number AND PIN, the ILS won't return the SIP information when a PIN is not included. This is a problem when MyPC tries to create a reservation from the staff interface, or even when staff extends a patron session. This is because every time a card number is looked up, it is validated in any scenario. This is normally only an issue that is scene when customers are providing a quota to certain groups.
The Solution
Triple A has a feature that will check Cire for the Group they belong to and cache that so that the user isn't moved out of their group.
Launch TripleA, and you will see the following Button:

Click it and set Cache Group and Expiry to Never

How this will work is all based upon Authenticate and Import – if any changes it will update the cache. A good way to test is to Authenticate and Import as a user then try import only in Service Test if the LMS does not return a group on Import it will return from the cache.
